The Russian fertilizer producer FosAgro together with the Indian state corporation Indian Potash LTD (IPL) came to an agreement at the IFA International Fertilizer Industry Association conference in Istanbul, Turkey. Talks are ongoing about the export of 1.35 million tonnes of products under the brand NPK, NPS and DAR. The period of supplies would extend from 2015 – 2018.
Andrey Guriev, general director of FosAgro, said that it is a very positive signal for the entire market affected by this agreement. For the last two years, the company has been absent from the Indian fertilizer market, where there was and still is a high demand for the NPK/DAR brand.
Earlier the fertilizer company Uralkaliy also concluded an agreement with India on the supply of 800 thousand tonnes of fertilizer until the year 2016.
