Kazakh fruits and vegetables have seen particular demand. However, the cost of produce from Kazakhstan is seldom cheaper than other imported products, such as imported products from Turkey. Regardless, this fact doesn't appear to deter Moscow consumers from buying products originating from Kazakhstan.
According to a press release of the agricultural park Food City, for a year (starting from September 2014) Moscow has perchased 20 thousand tonnes of potatoes, melons and various vegetables, in addition to 500 tonnes of fruit and berries from Kazakhstan.
