Armendia's Minister of Agriculture, Sergo Karapatyan, discussed during a meeting with David Kazaryan, head of the company Spaika, the ministry's plan to increase shipments to the Russian market.
“As we know, imports of Turkish products to Russia have been restricted,” Karapatyan said. “It will create a lot of opportunities for Armenian producers within the plan of increasing export volumes to the Russian market.”
There are significant prospects ahead of the holiday season, when demand for particular fruits traditionally have skyrocketed. In order to take full advantage of these opportunities, Armenian exporters will have to “create short-term and long-term programs for increasing production and exports”, the minister said.
