Georgia's Minister of Agriculture Otar Danelia confirmed that there have not been any formal negotiations or consultations with Russia as of December 2. The head of the Georgian agency also added that the state of relations between Turkey and Russia is a concern for Georgia.
The country's Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dmitry Kumsishvili responded negatively to the question of possibility increasing exports to the Russian market and holding negotiations with Kremlin officials.
Georgia's volume of exports over a several month period have sharply decreased, according to official statistics. For the first 10 months of the year, Georgian exporters shipped various products valued at US $126.3 million, $107 million less than the same period in 2014.
