DIXY Begins Talks To Increase Variety Of Fruit, Vegetable Imports From Iran

28 January 2016

The Russian retailer DIXY released a press release stating that the company is ready to replace now-prohibited Turkish fruit and vegetable imports with more and various products grown in Iran.

DIXY is now holding negotiations regarding the amount and variety of these imports.

Russian retailers are interested in cucumbers, kiwis, tomatoes, zucchini and other types of fruits and vegetables, especially those that are in high demand during the winter months when local suppliers are unable to provide the necessary amounts to meet demand.

Director of External Relations Ekaterina Kumaninaya said that the company is not assigned to any supplier in particular or product group, as such a policy could lead to shortcomings or difficulties in bringing supplies to consumers.
