Arriving from the port of Latakia, 1,600 tonnes of produce, most of which is citrus fruits, are to arrive in Russia as the second export of its kind from Syria in two weeks.
The shipment is part of the Syrian-Russian economic project, and it will also contain various vegetables and fruits.
Syrian specialist Khaldun Mazhar Ahmad, who curated the project, said that the shipment consists of fruit and vegetable products that were grown in the Tartus province of Latakia, Daraa and Suwayda.
Apart from citrus fruits (mainly oranges and mandarin oranges), the shipment also contained Granada, cauliflower and carrots.
In the future, Syrian exporters plan to send one large shipment of products a week.
