Kazakhstan has exported about $1.5 billion worth of agricultural products over the last three years to Customs Union members Russia and Belarus, as confirmed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Following the integration of Kazakhstan into the Customs Union with Russia and Belarus, exports of agricultural products to these foreign markets have increased while imports have decreased.
The growth rate of imports of agricultural products to Kazakhstan from the countries of the Customs Union decreased from 44 percent in 2012 to 3 percent in 2013. Export in 2011 saw a growth of 7 percent, and in 2013 it more than doubled, according to Kazakhstan's Ministry of Agriculture.
