The agricultural park is expected to become an attractive area for investors, Sidorenko said, adding that companies are arriving to the region ready to process and produce agricultural commodities and promote the site throughout the Far East.
Two hundred hectares (494 acres) of land of the future agropark are located at the crossroads of the agricultural activities of the region. A portion of the lot was handed to the company operator – Development Corporation of Primorsky Region. And the company Agroinvest already started developing technical specifications and design documentation for the site's infrastructure, a regional official said.
Governor of Primorye Region Vladimir Miklushevsky also stressed the prospect of creating an agrocultural park for the region. He said: Among the priorities is the industrial park in the Nadezhdinski District and agrotechnopark for production and the processing of agricultural products in the Mikhailovsky District. All the projects have already been identified by prospective investors. The specialization of these areas enables the production of goods and services, of which are competitive on the market of the Asia Pacific with a high degree of export potential.
