Representatives of Turkey will not be visiting Moscow on April 26 to discuss the situation regarding sanctions on exports to Russia because officials were unable to obtain visas, the deputy head of Russia’s Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Service (Rosselkhoznadzor) Alexey Alekseyenko told RIA Novosti.

Officials from Russia and Greece met during the Joint Russian-Greek Commission on Economic, Industrial and Scientific Cooperation and walked away with a plan to work together on topics of mutual interest. As a result, the officials signed a roadmap to develop Russian-Greek relations in the field of agriculture.

As part of the annual report to the State Duma on the results of governmental activities, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev discussed some of the breakthroughs in the Russian agricultural sector as well as intentions to continue government support for this industry.

Russia's Central Bank released data about an unusual drop in vegetable prices from February to March of this year by 1.3%. However, market participants and experts in regions of Russia's Far East think that the cause of the drop in vegetable prices is nothing mysterious or unusual. In fact, they argue that it's due to the normal cycle of trading seasonal produce.
